The Telegram channel «VChK-OGPU», which previously reported about the secret burial of a general at Troyekurovskoye Cemetery in Moscow, learned his first and last name. The buried person was 53-year-old Igor Yerusalimov.

The farewell ceremony for the general took place on August 4 not in a public place, but in his apartment on Aviatorov Street. It lasted until 9:00 PM, and the burial was scheduled for 10:00 AM the following day.

In the announcement of the farewell, Yerusalimov is called a "hero of the special military operation," but without specifying his position. It is known that he previously served as head of the operational department of the Western Military District — deputy chief of staff of the Western Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and in this capacity, in November 2022, he visited Minsk for the conference "Development, training, and application of forces and means of the collective security system of the Collective Security Treaty Organization."
Igor Yerusalimov received the rank of lieutenant general just over a year ago, in May 2025, and prior to that, from February 2022, he was a major general. In 2024, he was mentioned in the Russian registry as the first deputy chief of staff of the Moscow Military District.
It is believed that the deceased might have been a friend of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, General Alexander Chaiko, and was present at the celebration of his 55th birthday at the Balzi Rossi restaurant.
An explosion at the Balzi Rossi restaurant in Moscow occurred on the evening of August 1. Initially, it was reported that the cause might have been a gas leak, but later the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee stated that an explosive device, which a woman tried to bring in disguised as a gift, detonated in the restaurant.
As a result of the explosion, five people died, and at least 19 more were injured.
According to unofficial information, the possible target of the attack could have been General Alexander Chaiko himself, whom Ukrainian authorities accuse of involvement in war crimes in Bucha. His condition after the explosion is unknown. It is reported that during the incident, his son-in-law Daniil Peredriy died, and his 25-year-old daughter Maria Chaiko may have been injured.
