Argentina national team defenders Cristian Romero and Lisandro Martinez ignored the US President during the silver medal award ceremony after the 2026 World Cup final and did not shake his hand.

However, they did shake hands with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Argentina lost yesterday's World Cup final, conceding to Spain 0:1 in extra time.

Argentina and "Manchester United" defender Lisandro Martinez was substituted at the end of the first half after an injury. It is believed he suffered a hamstring strain.
