In Grodno, a hospital was on fire at night, more than 250 patients and staff were evacuated
In Grodno, a fire broke out at night in one of the hospital buildings on Abukhava street. One of the wards on the fifth floor of the six-story building caught fire.

Hospital staff themselves initially began rescuing people.
Even before the firefighters arrived, medics led 5 people out of the burning ward. These patients were not injured.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), using special masks, carried another 6 people out of the dangerous zone.

Simultaneously with extinguishing the fire, rescuers carried out a complete evacuation of the building. 254 people, including 10 children, were evacuated from the dangerous building. There were no casualties among those evacuated.
The fire was extinguished. 15 units of special equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations worked at the scene. The causes of the fire are being investigated.
