The Ministry of Education has determined the terms of academic quarters and school holidays.

The school year will begin on September 1 and end on May 31 (for ninth-graders and eleventh-graders — May 25), and the first quarter will be exactly two months long and end on October 31.
Autumn holidays will be eight days: from November 1 to 8.
The longest, if not counting summer holidays, are traditionally winter holidays. This time they will last from December 25 to January 10 and will be 17 days long.
This is because Orthodox Christmas will be on a Thursday, and presumably, adults are expecting a four-day weekend (January 7-10).
Spring holidays — eight days: from March 21 to 28, 2027.
Summer holidays, not counting students in 9th and 11th grades, will be 92 days.
