First-year student caught forging sick notes

At the beginning of the year, a student from one of the capital's educational institutions submitted a certificate to the administration, the authenticity of which raised doubts among medical staff. The incident was reported to the police, writes the State Forensic Examination Committee.

During the check, it was found that, in addition to this certificate, the girl had another one, issued at a student polyclinic in Minsk.

Both documents were sent for forensic technical examination. Specialists determined that changes had been made to them. According to the experts' conclusion, dates and individual entries were corrected in various ways: by adding and redrawing strokes, by erasure followed by outlining entries, and by decolorizing ink followed by entering new numbers.

Later, the girl admitted that she first went to a student polyclinic, but on the appointed day, she did not come for the appointment and went to receive treatment at her place of residence, where she opened another sick leave, despite the fact that the first one had already been issued.

To avoid problems with her studies, she independently changed the dates in both medical certificates. Now, law enforcement agencies are clarifying the circumstances of this story.
