The operational duty service of the Minsk region police received video evidence: wild animals are on the road.

The video screenshot shows a moose appearing on the road from the right.
Traffic police officers were dispatched to the scene, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
The traffic police draw drivers' attention: it is necessary to be extremely attentive and careful, especially in areas near forest masses.
Wild animals can suddenly run onto the road from behind bushes or trees, not anticipating the appearance of vehicles. Large animals, such as moose or wild boars, have significant mass, and a collision can have serious consequences, including danger to life and health.
Animals also fear headlights, which can make them freeze in place or, conversely, panic and run towards traffic.
In addition, in darkness, twilight, fog, or rain, it becomes much harder to spot an animal.
The traffic police strongly recommend:
— maintain a safe speed: especially in places where wild animals are likely to appear (marked with "Wild Animals" signs);
— use high beams during dark hours: this will help spot an animal from a distance. Switch to low beams when meeting oncoming traffic!
— stay focused: using a mobile phone while driving is unacceptable, especially in high-risk conditions;
— it's better to slow down — do not try to swerve around an animal at high speed. This can be more dangerous than braking.
It is also recommended to report spotted animals: in cases of wild animal appearances, notify specialists of the State Inspectorate for Animal and Plant Protection.
