One should not draw hasty conclusions regarding the letter published by Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy to President Vladimir Putin, as well as the reaction of his American counterpart Donald Trump, Putin's press secretary told CGTN on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, writes RBC.

“It is very important for Russia to achieve our interests and fulfill the tasks that were set at the beginning of the 'special military operation'. As for the exchange of statements, the publication of Zelenskyy's letter and Trump's reaction to this letter, much can be said, but let's not get ahead of ourselves,” Peskov said.

Earlier, the presidential press secretary stated that Zelenskyy's message was "taken seriously".
