Russia's main St. Petersburg Economic Forum will take place against the backdrop of gigantic fires at the oil terminal.
Residents of St. Petersburg report that explosions began to be heard over the city starting around three in the morning.
Governor Alexander Drozdenko reported about 50 downed drones around seven o'clock in the morning local time.
In the Kirovsky district of the city, the "St. Petersburg Oil Terminal" caught fire as a result of the attack – one of the largest transshipment complexes involved in the storage, processing, and shipment of oil.
Moreover, judging by the video, Ukrainian drones struck the tanks almost unhindered. At least six strikes were captured on video.
A huge plume of smoke also rose in Kronstadt, at the Baltic Fleet base. Later, the Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine published a video: the strike targeted the corvette "Boiky," which was undergoing repairs there.
Dozens of flights were delayed at Pulkovo Airport. Rosaviatsiya introduced the "Carpet" plan around four in the morning. Local residents claim that warning messages about the threat of drone attacks in the region arrived late.
