“Because people are very interested in following the fate of a traitor. The tormented, difficult fate of a traitor who turned out to be unwanted neither here nor there. And in this sense, it's probably a guilty pleasure.
It's a very instructive story, an example that no one wants to repeat. No one wants to go down the path that Raman Pratasevich went down. (...) We do this to show people the history of such traitors. What it leads to and how painful it can be in the long run.”
