Police revealed their version of why the guy who admonished a tourist for a cigarette butt in the center of Minsk spent the night in the police station
The blogger called the police to be protected, allowed to quietly board a train, and go home. But in the end, he himself spent the night at the station and was shocked by the bad attitude.

The young blogger under the pseudonym Lev Belarusau became known after a video where he admonished a man who threw a cigarette butt on the ground at a pedestrian crossing in Nemiga, Minsk. The situation had such a public resonance that the guest of the capital was brought to administrative responsibility.
But Lev claims that after this situation, he is being harassed across the country by acquaintances of that man, who threaten to kill him and use physical force.
One of the incidents happened in Talachyn in a parking lot, where a stranger accosted him:
«He called other Roma people, who started to impede my movement, restricting my space. They shouted: "We will kill you now!" As it turned out later, the person who started to snap at me is the biological brother of the very guy from that very video with the cigarette butt.»
Before this encounter, according to Lev, a friend of that group attacked him. «He took the last money from under the elastic band in my passport cover and said: "This is for my beer." He also threatened my life.»
The young man called the police to be protected, allowed to quietly board a train, and go home. But in the end, he himself spent the night at the station and was shocked by the bad attitude.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reacted to the video. They stated that as soon as the young man called them with a complaint, a rapid response team arrived at the station and detained his offenders for petty hooliganism.
And the young man spent the night at the station «due to necessary procedural actions.» The law enforcement officers say that they offered Lev a blanket, hot tea, food, and medical assistance, and he «accepted it with enthusiasm.»
And for the videos with complaints on social networks, they threatened to bring him to justice.
The blogger later deleted his video from social networks.
