Remember the guy who reprimanded a tourist for a cigarette butt in the center of Minsk? Now he himself spent a night in a police station
A young blogger using the pseudonym Leo Belarusaŭ claims: after a viral TikTok video, he is being harassed and threatened with death. And recently, the situation escalated almost to a criminal case.

Leo Belarusaŭ has a dramatic fate. He is from Krupki, and at 17, his alcoholic father kicked him out of the apartment. Leo moved to Minsk, lived in a basement, and dreamed of becoming a musician. He sincerely believed that Lukashenka would help him with this. So, he began recording videos, wrapped in a red-green flag.
But everyone learned about Leo when he reprimanded a man who threw a cigarette butt on the ground at a pedestrian crossing in Nyamiha. A everyday situation escalated into a conflict, and several TikTok videos dedicated to the story collectively garnered over 3 million views.
Given the public reaction, the police also took notice of the conflict — the 18-year-old tourist, who came to Minsk with his mother, was soon detained and tried for an administrative offense.

Leo claims that after this situation, he is being pursued across the country by acquaintances of that man, who are threatening to kill him and using physical force.
In Talachyn, where the blogger was recording a video about the city, he faced terrible treatment from law enforcement officers and has now recorded an appeal to Lukashenka to investigate.
When Leo was walking to the station through the parking lot in Talachyn, a stranger approached him and started shouting obscenities, having recognized "that same guy from TikTok."
"He called other Roma, who started to impede my movement, restricting my space. They shouted: 'We'll kill you now!' As it turned out later, the person who started yelling at me was the brother of that very guy from that very video with the cigarette butt."
Leo believes that he was saved only because he was dressed differently than in the viral video – he pretended not to understand what video they were talking about at all.
Before this encounter, there was another incident. The guy was walking in the dark on the roadside: "Their friend attacked me. He took my last money from under the elastic band in my passport cover and said: 'This is for my beer.' He also threatened my life."
After all these adventures, Leo called the police, explained his situation, and asked if it was possible for police officers to come to him and stay nearby for his safety until he got on the train.
He says he immediately warned the duty officer that he would not be able to write a statement because he was leaving for another city — and he was told that police officers would arrive soon.
Soon, security approached him at the station: "Two officers appeared before me. I said that I had called the police. The first officer was adequate, very friendly. I explained the whole situation to him. That I was out of money, that I wouldn't be able to write a statement. I said, just protect me, put me on the train. He said: 'Boy, of course, go, everything is fine.' But the second officer was very rude, didn't introduce himself, nothing. And immediately in a harsh voice told me: 'You are not going anywhere, you are staying here and going to the department'."
Leo asked them to understand his situation: he was without money, at the station, in a strange city — and it was already night outside. As a result, the guy was not allowed to get on the electric train and was taken to the police station.
What happened next, Leo calls a complete horror. He was interrogated for several hours. Around 2 AM, the guy was taken to the very place where his money was taken — and he had to tell the story of the incident again and again to as many as 8 police officers.
"They also took a DNA test from me. And then at night, when the investigator was leaving the department, I asked: 'What should I do?' He took me down to the first floor. There was a very strong draft there. You can't put into words how cold it was there."
Leo was ordered to sit there until 7 AM, although he desperately asked to be allowed to go home because he was very sleepy. But he was offered to sleep on an iron bench.
The guy complained to the duty officer about severe abdominal pain and nausea due to hunger. The officer refused to call an ambulance — he offered two candies. But they contained nuts, and Leo says he is allergic to them.
"I don't know how to comment on this stupidity, inhumanity, and cruelty."
The officer promised that at 6 AM he would go and buy something to eat for Leo — he lied.
The guy tried to sleep both on the metal bench and on the tiled floor — he eventually managed to beg for a blanket. He says he heard one of the police officers yelling at the duty officer that he shouldn't have given Leo a blanket.
In the morning, the investigator didn't come, and the guy also missed the morning electric train. He says that later many police officers came to him, laughing and saying: "What kind of scarecrow is under the blanket? Who is this? What a homeless person?" Leo says that his blanket was forcibly taken away — and the guy started to have a tantrum.
After this, they took Leo's phone and started looking through it — contacts, gallery, Telegram. They found an old photo with some artist and started calling the guy gay: "Are you a f***ot? Are you a rear-wheel drive? And why do you have women's glasses?"
He says it all happened in the hall, where many people heard these insulting comments. Leo was crying at the time.
"And you know what he tells me? 'Guys, he's on something, he's a drug addict'."
Finally, he was questioned — Leo was already happy that he would soon be able to go home. But he was forbidden to leave and was told that his phone was being confiscated. The guy didn't understand why, as there were no materials related to the incident on it.
He says he almost begged the department head on his knees not to take the gadget, because it had paid subscriptions, and was needed for creating music and communicating with other artists. And the phone was his only way to earn money.
He recounted that he recently had another conflict with a former police officer. According to the guy, the officer defrauded him of 960 rubles – a criminal case was initiated.
Next, Leo's passport was taken away — supposedly because the wrapper was touched by the person who took the money.
"I tell him: 'I'm supposed to have a concert in Moscow soon. How will I go abroad without a passport? You've deprived me of everything'."
Meanwhile, the police quickly found the person who threatened Leo with murder: "The officers put this Roma man in the same room with me. That is, you understand, the person who had just threatened to kill me at night was seated next to me, and they left somewhere."
When the statement was being drafted, that man was also in the same room with Leo. The guy was forced to disclose his personal information in front of him: address, phone number, and so on.
Leo claims he found out: the robber was an acquaintance of the police officer who interrogated him. Because they shook hands: "Hey, bro!", and then smoked together.
The guy is also surprised that the officers of the Talachyn district police department cannot string two words together without swearing.
But in the end, the management told one of the police officers to buy Leo some food — and he was given buns and juice. He managed to get his SIM card and account passwords back. Now he records videos from an old phone given by friends.
Leo asks the Belarusian authorities to investigate the situation and restore justice.
