Polotsk Dairy Plant is being sold to JSC "Savushkin Product". The new owner promises to transform the old enterprise into a modern factory within a few months, investing about 70 million euros for these purposes. The ambitious plans were announced to the staff by Alexander Savchits, General Director of JSC "Savushkin Product", writes BelTA. The enterprise is being sold "at market appraised value," which is not disclosed.

As Savchits told the staff, the modernization of the enterprise will begin with the renovation of its networks: the plant will replace its water supply and sewage systems, which have not been repaired for 40 years.
The holding has already purchased modern equipment worth 20 million euros and is ready to install it immediately after the preparation of the sites, the general director said.
In the first phase, Polotsk workshops will produce curd snacks – up to 40 tons per day on five lines. Also, two lines for loose cottage cheese will operate at the new plant. For butter production, cream will be brought from the Orsha workshop. All workshops and other premises will be completely rebuilt, and working conditions, as promised, will significantly improve.

Savchits paid special attention to the fate of the team. He assured that there would be no layoffs: those who are replaced by automation will be retrained by the enterprise in its training center to work with complex equipment.

"We will build a new workshop in the shortest possible time, completing a full reconstruction by the New Year. We count on your help in construction, involving men in various jobs. We have our own builders, welders, IT specialists who will work here on site to erect the plant together with you," he said.
Alexander Savchits also offered everyone interested to visit other sites of the JSC, promising a bus for this purpose. He spoke about the social package for the enterprise's employees, which includes medical services, free access to the swimming pool, and gym.
"In the first phase, we plan to allocate about 70 million euros for the reconstruction of the Polotsk Dairy Plant," he promised.
Natalia Kochanova, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic, also visited the Polotsk Dairy Plant. The speaker of the upper house of parliament emphasized that Lukashenka's decision to sell the Polotsk enterprise to "Savushkin" was "absolutely justified," and, according to her, there were simply no other options to save the plant.
Kochanova noted that the holding already employs over 10 thousand people, and the average salary there is about 4000 rubles. Polotsk residents should expect precisely this level of income and "super modern conditions" after the full reconstruction.
According to Kochanova, the main purpose of her visit was to tell people "face to face" that no one would be left without work.
The Polotsk Dairy Plant is in a financial crisis: by the end of 2025, its losses increased 9-fold and reached 28.9 million rubles. Numerous reorganizations and the merger with Vitebsk JSC "Moloko" did not yield results, which is why in February 2026, Alexander Lukashenka instructed businessman Alexander Mashensky to undertake the modernization of the enterprise.
