How much does it cost to rent accommodation for a student in Minsk and other cities?

Minsk sees the most active search for accommodation. Demand began to grow in early August, and by mid-month, the pace intensified. Meanwhile, separate rooms and one-bedroom apartments became significantly more expensive.

In the capital, the median rental cost in August is approximately within 1150-1188 rubles per month. A room on average costs about 450 rubles, a one-bedroom apartment - about 1100 rubles, a two-bedroom - approximately 1320 rubles. A three-bedroom apartment will cost more than 1500 rubles, and a four-bedroom will be almost 1800 rubles.

Among regional centers, Brest currently has the most expensive rent. By the end of August, the median rental cost there increased to almost 745 rubles per month. A room can be found for an average of 200 rubles, a one-bedroom apartment - almost 660 rubles, a two-bedroom - approximately 807 rubles, a three-bedroom - more than 870 rubles, and a four-bedroom - about 660 rubles.

In Grodno, the median rental cost is 660-685 rubles per month. A room on average costs 270 rubles, a one-bedroom apartment - 600 rubles, a two-bedroom - about 725 rubles, a three-bedroom - approximately 930 rubles.

In Gomel, accommodation is rented out for an average of 600-615 rubles per month. A room costs about 300 rubles, a one-bedroom apartment - approximately 590 rubles, a two-bedroom - slightly more than 730 rubles, a three-bedroom - about 690 rubles, and a four-bedroom - about 900 rubles.

In Vitebsk, the median rental cost in August is about 650 rubles. A room can be rented for approximately 190 rubles, a one-bedroom apartment - for 650 rubles, a two-bedroom - for 750 rubles, and a three-bedroom - approximately 900 rubles.

In Mogilev, the average rent is approximately 600 rubles per month. A room costs about 250 rubles, a one-bedroom apartment - 600 rubles, a two-bedroom - 650 rubles, a three-bedroom - about 700 rubles.

In addition to regional centers, high demand is observed in Baranavichy, Pinsk, and Polotsk. Baranavichy stands out particularly: ahead of the academic year, rental accommodation there increased in price by as much as 43%, which was the largest increase among cities popular with students.

Experts note that the demand for student accommodation continues to grow as the start of the academic year approaches. Therefore, those looking for an apartment or a room are advised to do so in advance to have time to compare different options, consider utility payments, and if necessary, consider co-renting with other students.
