On August 26, a decision was made in the Vitebsk Regional Court to dissolve the religious association of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church in the Republic of Belarus, writes "Vitebskaya Vesna".

The court considered the application of the Commissioner for Religious and National Affairs, who requested the dissolution of the association due to its failure to undergo re-registration. Everything was decided based on written documents, as official representatives of the parties asked the court to consider the case in their absence.
One of the parishioners who attended the hearing said that the judge only read out the application of the state authorities' representative. Regarding the written objections signed by the leaders of the religious structure, she only stated that they were in Belarusian and did not read them aloud.
The court granted the application of the Commissioner for Religious and National Affairs and decided on the dissolution.
