Russian military helicopter flew into Polish airspace in the morning without consequences
A Russian Mi-8 helicopter violated Polish airspace, entering from the Kaliningrad region. This was reported by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

According to the Polish military, the helicopter flew approximately 300 meters deep into Polish territory near the city of Braniewo and remained there for about 42 seconds. In response, Poland scrambled duty fighters and put ground air defense units on heightened alert.
The Polish army believes that this incident could be another test of the readiness of the Polish air defense system by Russia.
“The nature of the incident indicates that Russia is once again testing the combat readiness of our air defense system,” the command emphasized. “Personnel responsible for the operation of the Polish air defense system conduct round-the-clock surveillance and are in constant readiness to guarantee the security of Polish airspace.”
Previously, Russian drone strikes repeatedly occurred just a few kilometers from the Polish border. In such cases, Poland also scrambled fighters and put air defense assets on alert.
In September, Russian drones attacked a train and a gas station near border crossings. After this, Polish authorities began to additionally strengthen the border.
