Ministry of Education: Police statement about fines for children skipping classes is a complete fake

Recently, Hrodna district police officer Yauhen Tarasau stated that if a child skips classes, then according to the law, parents can allegedly be fined up to 10 basic units (450 rubles). But the Ministry of Education called this statement by the security official "a complete fake".

"Information about fines is a complete fake. There were no innovations.

In case of illness up to 5 days, a certificate is not required; it is enough to inform the teacher that the child is at home and surrounded by the attention and care of their parents," emphasizes the press service of the Ministry of Education.
