The website where Belarusians were recruited for the war with Ukraine disappeared immediately after media wrote about it
The website «Zashchitnik.BEL» (Defender.BEL), which appeared in Belarus's national domain zone to find volunteers to serve in the Russian army and participate in the war against Ukraine, is no longer accessible, Radio Svaboda noted . It is not precisely known whether the site was blocked by the Belarusian authorities or by the initiators of its creation and activity, but this happened immediately after information about it spread through the media.

The website operator was identified as Russian individual entrepreneur Daniil Rodionov. He is registered in the Irkutsk region and, according to open information, is connected with the military personnel agency «Bratstvo Sindikat» (Brotherhood Syndicate), which recruits candidates for contract service in the Russian army.
Despite this, the website was designed as Belarusian and was aimed at a Belarusian audience: in addition to the Belarusian domain zone, it published photos of military personnel with Belarusian state symbols.
For a long time, advertisements for "work" for Belarusian citizens wishing to fight in Ukraine on Russia's side could be found, including on Belarusian job search resources. Especially on those that operate as aggregators of announcements from third-party sites, including Russian ones.
