Kupala Actor Mikalai Kuchyts Dies

On August 13, the death of Belarusian actor Mikalai Kuchyts became known. This was reported by the "Kupalavtsy" troupe on social media. He was 73 years old.

"Today, our Kupala actor Mikalai Kuchyts passed away," the message states. No other details have been reported.

Mikalai Kuchyts was born in 1953. In 1984, he graduated from the theater faculty of the Belarusian Institute of Theatrical Arts (now the Belarusian State Academy of Arts), where he studied under Barys Lutsenka.

From 2001 to 2020, Kuchyts was an actor at the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theater. In 2020, he left the theater along with most of the troupe.

In addition to his work on the theatrical stage, Mikalai Kuchyts starred in films and TV series. He performed approximately 40 roles throughout his career.
