For a hotel to receive even one star, it must have internet and a television.

Belarus intends to introduce mandatory certification for hotels according to a five-star system. Currently, owners can obtain such a status voluntarily.
Dzianis Biashko, Deputy Director of the National Tourism Agency, spoke about the upcoming changes on ONT TV, writes "Tochka".
To receive even one star, a hotel will need to meet basic requirements. These include the availability of water, internet, a television, and other necessary amenities.
For some establishments, this will mean a need for upgrades. And those who cannot provide the minimum level may temporarily suspend operations until deficiencies are remedied.
Special attention is planned to be given to service. Staff are to be trained.
Currently, there are 664 hotels in Belarus. The room stock is planned to be significantly expanded: the current state program provides for its increase by 30%. It also covers sanatoriums and other facilities.
On a five-point scale, Dzianis Biashko rated the condition of hotels in the regions as three.
«There are good establishments, including excellent apart-hotels in historical buildings. But there are also a number of hotels that still need work: to be renovated and transformed for the convenience of guests,» he emphasized.
