Drones attacked Moscow and Leningrad Oblast

On the night of August 14 and in the morning of that day, Moscow and Leningrad Oblast were subjected to drone attacks. As a result of the shelling, damage and a fire were recorded in the area of one of the ports, writes RBC-Ukraine.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin wrote on his social media that the drone attack began as early as 23:44. Then, according to him, air defense allegedly shot down two drones that were flying towards the capital of the Russian Federation.

Already in the morning, almost at six o'clock, Sobyanin wrote that another 10 drones had been shot down. However, this publication did not specify that these were drones flying towards Moscow. It is not excluded that these drones reached the city.

Leningrad Oblast also came under attack overnight. According to reports from the region's governor, Alexander Drozdenko, the attack began at 02:53. By 06:21 in the morning, allegedly 51 drones had already been shot down.

"Damage was recorded in the area of the port of Ust-Luga... As a result of the damage, a fire was recorded in the port," — the publications stated.
