Two-year-old boy fell into a manhole while playing with parents

The incident occurred yesterday in the village of Rechytsa, Stolin district.

Parents were going to visit friends with their two-year-old son. At some point, the boy walked a few meters away from them, stepped on a manhole cover, and fell in, the Investigative Committee reported.

The parents could not get the child out on their own and called rescuers. Ministry of Emergency Situations employees pulled the boy to the surface. The child was taken to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a contusion to the head.

The depth of the well is about 3.5 meters.
