Major General Ihor Skybiuk will become the Chief of the General Staff, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced.
"He is a very experienced military officer who, together with the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi, defended Ukraine shoulder to shoulder," the President of Ukraine wrote.
"It is important that all components of our army continue to act in absolute coordination. We also jointly determined how Oleksandr Syrskyi and Andriy Hnatov will further serve the cause of defending our state," Zelenskyy's statement reads.
Skybiuk will replace Andriy Hnatov in this position.
