Hurnevich called to sign a petition for the installation of the BChB flag on the Grunwald Field
Journalist Dzmitry Hurnevich drew attention to a public initiative — an appeal to the leadership of the Museum of the Battle of Grunwald with a request to install a white-red-white banner on the territory of the memorial complex.

Today, the state flags of Poland, Lithuania, and Ukraine fly on the Grunwald Field, but Belarusian symbols, despite the colossal historical contribution of our ancestors to the common victory of 1410, are absent there.
The authors of the petition remind that the banners of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, formed on Belarusian lands — in Polatsk, Vitsebsk, Navahrudak, Hrodna, Minsk, and other cities — fought against the Teutonic Order alongside their allies.
The authors call the installation of the BChB (white-red-white) flag, under which Belarusians declared their statehood in 1918, restored independence in 1991, and which became a symbol of peaceful protest against election falsification and dictatorship in 2020, an act of historical justice. And also a sign of solidarity at a time when the Belarusian people are experiencing the oppression of dictatorship and the ideology of the "Russian world".
Dzmitry Hurnevich called this initiative "very sensible," but expressed surprise at the low activity of his compatriots.
According to him, despite hundreds of thousands of Belarusians in Poland, only about 200 people had signed the petition at the time of publication.
The journalist called for mass support for the appeal and noted that it would be ideal if prominent Belarusian politicians currently in Poland, including Zianon Pazniak, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, Pavel Latushka, and Andrei Sannikov, also signed it.
Hurnevich himself has not only already supported the petition but also promised to additionally contact the museum management by phone to personally voice this request.
