A 34-year-old lecturer who defended her dissertation in Belarusian became the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism at BSU
Lizaveta Khmel herself graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at BSU and stayed there to work.

Previously, Lizaveta Khmel worked as Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Educational Innovations.
Before her, the position of Dean was held by Aleksei Belyaev, Candidate of Historical Sciences. There were no reports of his dismissal; his name was quietly removed from the Faculty of Journalism website and the main BSU website.
Khmel was born in Kletsk (Minsk region), she is 34 years old. After graduating from school, she entered the Faculty of Journalism at Belarusian State University. She was "Miss JourFac - 2011".
After graduation, she stayed to work at the faculty.
She defended her candidate's thesis "Television Communication in the Belarusian Media Sphere: Communicative-Pragmatic Paradigm" in Belarusian.
