On the evening of June 16, reports began to appear on social media about the absence of water in several districts of the city. Some people lost both hot and cold water, others — only one of them, and some faced a significant drop in pressure. Some citizens thought that this was due to the planned water outage (the first stage of which was scheduled for the morning of June 17), implying that utility services had started work in advance.
However, this was not the case, as water disappeared even at addresses (for example, in some houses on Maladzyozhnaya and Bahamolava streets) that were not part of the first phase of outages at all.
The 115 dispatch service did not clarify the situation. They only reported that an "unforeseen situation occurred with Salihorskvodokanal" in the city.
