The woman was a financially responsible person and had access to cash. The investigation claims that she took part of the cash from the till. In addition, when selling expensive goods, she would process a receipt in the cash register for a cheaper item, keeping the difference between the actual price and the amount on the receipt for herself.

During the investigation, the woman's financial capabilities and expenses were examined. It was found that her expenses approximately tripled her official salary. It was also established that cash — from 200 to 3,000 rubles monthly — was regularly deposited onto her bank card.

According to the case materials, the woman embezzled over 127 thousand rubles over the entire period of her activity. These funds, according to the investigation, she used to pay off debts and for personal needs.

The shop assistant only partially admitted her guilt. During interrogation, she claimed that other people allegedly had access to her computer, who made changes to the software and could artificially increase the amount of the shortfall.

However, investigators checked these explanations and concluded that they were not substantiated. It was established that only certain employees had access to the computer, with the shop assistant herself handling all reporting, and other employees had no motivation to enter false information.

As a result of the investigation, a cash shortfall was confirmed, and re-sorting of expensive goods was also detected. The woman was charged with embezzlement of property on an especially large scale, entrusted to her by virtue of her position. During the investigation, she is under house arrest, and her property worth over 100 thousand rubles has been seized.
