"Coffee with a Historian" Invites to a Round Table on Memory and Archives
On June 14 at 3:00 PM, a round table "Memory and Archives: Then and Now" will be held at the Museum of Free Belarus in Warsaw (Foksal 11).

Sergey Rybchionak, Uladzimir Lobach, and Aliaksei Lastouski will participate in the meeting. The discussion will be dedicated to how information about the past was recorded, transmitted, and used in traditional society and today.
You will learn:
- what is the difference between memory and history;
- about legendary and real historical facts about the origins of the Radziwill, Hliebowicz, Mickiewicz, and other families of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania;
- how historical memory functions in a rural community: an anthropological perspective on narratives about war and occupation;
- what constitutes and how contemporary scientific study of historical memory and memory politics in Belarus work.
