It became known who "ML Vitebsk" might play if they pass the first round of the Champions League. It seems like there's no chance at all
Yesterday, the Belarusian football champion was drawn against Romanian "Universitatea" from Craiova in the first qualifying round of the Champions League.
Today, the range of potential opponents for the second round became known, should the Belarusian club defeat the Romanians.
Among the potential opponents are "Dinamo" (Zagreb), "Slovan" (Bratislava), "Omonia" (Cyprus), "Celje" (Slovenia), "Hapoel" (Beer-Sheva, Israel) and the winner of the pair "Borac" (Bosnia) – "Levski" (Bulgaria).
The exact possible opponent will be determined today at 2 PM.
The first-round matches will be played on July 7-8 and 14-15, the second round on July 21-22 and 28-29.
If "ML Vitebsk" is eliminated in the first round of the Champions League, they will get a chance to continue their fight in the Conference League qualification.
They will play against one of the losers from the following pairs:
"Borac" (Bosnia) – "Levski" (Bulgaria), "Kairat" (Kazakhstan) – "Sutjeska" (Montenegro), "Víkingur" (Iceland) – "Győr" (Hungary).
In the first qualifying round of the Conference League, Minsk "Dinamo" will play against North Macedonian "Sileks", and BATE against Albanian "Elbasani".
So, if BATE defeats the Albanians, they might play against Turkish "Istanbul Başakşehir", Portuguese "Braga", Norwegian "Brann", Swiss "Sion", or the winner of the pair "Marsaxlokk" (Malta) – "Pyunik" (Armenia) in the second round.
Minsk's "Dinamo", which has the best chances for the second stage, might face one of the following teams in the second round: "Neftchi" (Azerbaijan), "Hapoel" (Tel-Aviv), "Valletta" (Malta), winners of the pairs "Sheriff" (Tiraspol) – "Aluminij" (Slovenia), "Dila" (Georgia) – "Virtus" (San Marino).
All possible opponents will be known at 4 PM.
