"17 hundred-pointers from one teacher." Vitebsk gymnasium broke Lida's record
Yesterday, the results of the Centralized Exam (CE) in Russian and Belarusian languages were announced. The exam itself took place on May 29. Almost 59 thousand students tested their knowledge. Of these, 1426 scored the maximum 100 points. Graduates of some schools showed particularly high results.
Yesterday it became known that in Gymnasium No. 1 of Lida, 16 students immediately received 100 points in Russian language. All of them studied with the same teacher — Tatiana Mikhailovna Glyzdova.

The gymnasium reported that Elena Konstantinovna is one of the leading philologists in Belarus. Over the years of her work, she has prepared more than 20 winners of the Republican Olympiad, including two prize-winners this year. The teacher has been working at Gymnasium No. 2 in Vitebsk since 1999. She holds the title "Excellent Worker in Education" and also the category of teacher-methodologist.
— Elena Konstantinovna is a rather strict teacher, but at the same time, when I talk to the children, they all call her one of their favorite teachers. A well-motivated child always recognizes the teacher's professionalism.
And understands: yes, she has demands on me, but they are necessary to achieve the maximum result, — noted Konstantin Kiselev, the gymnasium director, in a conversation with a journalist.
By the way, the gymnasium itself was recognized as the best secondary education institution in the country based on the results of 2025 and the only one to have won this title three times. In addition, over the past seven years, the gymnasium has been the absolute leader in the Olympiad movement in Belarus.
This year, the average score of graduates in the CE was 93.
Regarding the Russian language exam itself, educators agree that this year's test was slightly easier than in previous years. The average score across the republic was 66.16. For comparison: last year it was 62.62. The number of hundred-pointers in the subject also significantly increased — 1301 against 715 a year ago.
