"According to preliminary estimates, six missiles launched by Iran were intercepted, and the seventh did not reach its target," CENTCOM stated.
In turn, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported on its Telegram channel that on Saturday night, four oil tankers attempted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz without coordination with Tehran. One of them was struck and stopped, while the others turned back, the IRGC claims.
Then American forces struck radars, and in response, IRGC forces attacked the American base in Kuwait and the US Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain with ballistic missiles, the corps' statement reads, writes BBC.
