The accident happened in Ushachy district, reported the State Committee of Forensic Expertise.

While working in the yard of his house, a 64-year-old man used an angle grinder to clean metal from rust. To protect himself from dust, the man tied a headscarf around his head and neck.
At some point, the edge of the fabric got caught in the rotating attachment of the tool. The spindle instantly wound the scarf, tightening the loop around the victim's neck. The man died.

According to the forensic medical examination, the man's death was caused by mechanical asphyxia (suffocation). The deceased was sober.
