83-year-old Paul McCartney once again topped the UK charts. This is his 24th time
Paul McCartney's new album, The Boys Of Dungeon Lane, dedicated to his hometown Liverpool and friends from The Beatles, immediately topped the UK album chart upon its release, reports the BBC.

This is already the 24th album featuring Paul McCartney to reach number one in the UK. If you consider his solo works, as well as recordings by The Beatles and Wings, McCartney remains the absolute record holder for the number of such achievements.
The title of the new album is linked to a street in Liverpool where the future musician enjoyed spending time in his childhood. Many songs are dedicated to his hometown, family, and friends from the legendary quartet The Beatles.
A special place on the record is occupied by the song Days We Left Behind, in which McCartney remembers John Lennon and their years of friendship. Another track — Down South — is dedicated to travels across the UK with George Harrison and later with Lennon.
Ringo Starr also participated in the album's recording. He played drums and performed vocals on the song Home To Us. This is the first new joint studio work of the two musicians.
The Boys Of Dungeon Lane became McCartney's sixth solo album to top the UK chart. Previously, 15 Beatles albums, two Wings albums, and one disk recorded with the singer's wife Linda McCartney achieved similar success.
In addition, the new record became the best-selling vinyl album of the week in the UK and topped sales in the country's independent music stores.
The success of the release coincided with the approaching International Beatles Day, celebrated on June 25th. For this date, the full recording of the band's historic performance in the global telethon Our World in 1967, where the musicians performed their famous song All You Need Is Love, will be published for the first time. That broadcast was watched by about 400 million people in 24 countries around the world at the time.
