Belarusians, like residents of other countries, were able to observe a solar eclipse on the evening of August 12. The rare cosmic phenomenon coincided with the peak of the meteor shower, which can be observed after sunset, writes Times.by.

The moon passed between the Earth and the Sun around nine in the evening, partially obscuring the luminary. This unusual phenomenon could be observed in various parts of Belarus.

However, the cosmic show does not end there. The peak of the Perseid meteor shower will occur on the night of August 12-13. During this time, up to 100 bright lights per hour can be observed in the sky.
