A representative from the Ministry of Trade will be appointed to each Belarusian marketplace
On August 13, a working meeting dedicated to the operation of internet platforms and the promotion of domestic products in the online environment took place at the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus.
The discussion was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry, concerns "Bellegprom", "Belgospishcheprom", "Bellesbumprom" and "Belneftekhim", trade and services departments, as well as heads and representatives of the largest internet platforms in Belarus.
"Euroopt Internet Store", "Yandex Food", "Belpochta", Ozon, "Flauwau", Onliner, and Delivio joined the cooperation agreement. The Russian "Wildberries", as emphasized, has not yet joined the agreement.
The main topic of the meeting was the assessment of the effectiveness of promoting Belarusian goods through internet platforms. Participants discussed key indicators that will allow determining how successfully domestic producers promote their products and increase their sales through online channels.
During the meeting, individual indicators and the methodology for their calculation were also discussed in detail. The main goal of such a system is to boost the sale of Belarusian goods online and increase their share in online trade.
Following the meeting, it was decided that a separate representative from the Ministry of Trade would be assigned to each internet platform, who would be responsible for interaction with Belarusian manufacturers. A similar practice is already in effect in traditional retail chains.
