It became known when the first season of the new "Harry Potter" series will be released
The first season of the "Harry Potter" series will be released in early 2027, Casey Bloys, CEO of HBO, told Deadline.

Over the past year, while the script was being written, the cast was being selected, and the production process was being launched, the premiere date was set for 2027. Now the terms are known more precisely.
"If I narrow it down, I would say it's early 2027. And now you'll ask if it's January, February, March, April. But we're not ready to answer that yet. I'll just say it's early 2027," the HBO CEO said.
Dominic McLaughlin was cast as Harry Potter, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger.
Also starring in the show are Paapa Essiedu, John Lithgow, and Janet McTeer.
Francesca Gardiner, known for her work on the series "Succession", became the showrunner of the series.
Each of the seven Harry Potter books will be featured in a separate season. Filming began in the summer of 2025 in the UK.
J.K. Rowling serves as executive producer. Earlier, the author of the books shared her first impressions of the series. "I've read the first two episodes of the upcoming series, and they are incredibly good," she wrote on X.
