Tourists will soon be able to travel from Moscow to Minsk along a new pilot automotive tourist route "Between Two Capitals: Road of the Union State". The route will pass along the M-1 highway through the Moscow and Smolensk regions, as well as through Belarusian Orsha and Borisov.
The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia announced the creation of the route following a meeting of the tourism working group of the "Union State". The Belarusian side must prepare a route passport within two months. It will specify tourist attractions, accommodation, and catering facilities.
To promote joint tourist trips, a Tourist Information Center of the "Union State" is also being established in Smolensk. Travelers will be able to get up-to-date information there about routes, stopover locations, and available services.
