Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets commented on the problem of overcrowded first grades.
He explained this by saying that most parents advocate for the first shift in schools. Therefore, educational institutions, where children previously studied in two shifts, are gradually being transitioned to one.
“Only 15% of schools will operate in two shifts in the country, while 85% will be in a single-shift mode. Therefore, of course, some school principals try to 'condense' our children, but precisely to create the possibility of learning in the first shift. Therefore, one should approach this with understanding," he said on the 'First Information' channel.
