New Eurostat data clearly indicates that some Ukrainian war refugees have recently been leaving Poland, writes UNIAN with reference to RMF24.

Only in July, the number of Ukrainian citizens with temporary protection status in Poland decreased by 8.11 thousand and stands at 953.1 thousand. In June, 6.3 thousand Ukrainian citizens enjoying temporary EU protection left the country.

Meanwhile, in June, almost 1.29 million people enjoying protection were in Germany. In the Czech Republic, by the end of June, there were about 381 thousand people. It is the Czech Republic that is increasingly becoming the choice for Ukrainian refugees deciding to leave Poland.

Notably, high figures in the July report were also recorded in Spain (272.3 thousand), Romania (219.4 thousand), and Slovakia (149.0 thousand).

These data come from an updated Eurostat database on persons enjoying temporary protection, introduced in the European Union following the Russian aggression against Ukraine, which began in February 2022.
