The Russian Ministry of Defense states that the strike was carried out on a military airfield.

On Saturday, August 22, a ballistic missile strike was carried out on Boryspil in the Kyiv region. According to Ukrainian sources, about six missiles hit targets in the city's area, some of which, judging by videos from the scene, had a cluster munition warhead.
As a result of the attack, large fires broke out at the impact sites: cargo trucks, warehouses, and a gas station caught fire.
In turn, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced a strike on a military airfield and related infrastructure in the Kyiv region.
