Spanish skateboarder Dany Leon surprised social media users with an unusual trick he performed against the backdrop of a total solar eclipse.
The athlete waited for the moment when the Moon completely covered the Sun, and it was then that he made a jump on his skateboard. The video creates the impression that Leon is flying directly in front of the completely eclipsed Sun.
He published the video on social media and called this trick "the move of his life". The footage quickly went viral and gained millions of views.
Dany Leon is a professional skateboarder who represented Spain at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021 and in Paris in 2024.
The total solar eclipse occurred on August 12, 2026, and was observed, in particular, in some regions of Spain and Portugal, as well as in other parts of Europe. For Spain, this was the first total solar eclipse in more than a century.
The combination of a rare astronomical phenomenon and a precisely calculated jump made the skateboarder's video particularly spectacular.
