Firm that wanted to invest half a million dollars in dried fruit production went bankrupt
This enterprise was once considered significant for an entire district.
In the Brest region, the Economic Court opened a bankruptcy case against LLC "Agrafudindustry". This firm was established in 2016 and planned to launch large-scale production of dried fruits and dried vegetables in the Gantsevichi district. The court's decision was noticed by Office Life.
This enterprise was once considered significant for an entire district. In 2017, its investment project was highly praised by the Brest Regional Executive Committee. It was reported that the volume of investments in production in the Gantsevichi district would amount to 900 thousand rubles, or more than $450 thousand at that time's exchange rate.
The company "Agrafudindustry" planned to organize large-scale production of dried fruits and dried vegetables, establish exports of potato puree and other products.
Even then, the investor created 17 new jobs in the district center.
What went wrong is precisely unknown. But, according to state registry data, the company's head was changed several times in 2018-2019, and in 2022, "Agrafudindustry" was on the verge of bankruptcy. A case was even opened against the firm, but it was stopped just a few months later.
Nevertheless, in the spring of 2024, the owner announced the liquidation of the business. And two years later (after the previous bankruptcy attempt), the liquidator filed for bankruptcy, as the enterprise still has significant debts, including to the budget.
According to data presented in court, LLC "Agrafudindustry" owes creditors almost 1.3 million rubles. Of this, over 275 thousand is for mandatory payments, and the debt to FSZN (Social Protection Fund) is about 4.5 thousand rubles.
The final consideration of the bankruptcy case is scheduled for October 29.
