Zelenskyy announced a strike on the Russian naval base in Novorossiysk
The President of Ukraine called the operation unique.

Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a strike on the Russian naval base in Novorossiysk on the night of August 12. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to him, the operation used "Palianytsia" reactive drones, "Neptune" missiles, and unmanned maritime systems.
Zelenskyy called the operation unique. According to him, the target was the naval base in Novorossiysk — the last major outpost of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea, located more than 300 km from the front line.
The Ukrainian president claims that as a result of the strike, Russian air defense positions, piers, and the port infrastructure were hit.
Zelenskyy also published a video of Russian air defense operations at night in Novorossiysk.
Russian channels reported drone attacks and air defense operations in the city overnight.
Russian authorities stated that two people died and 13 were injured in the Krasnodar Krai, including Novorossiysk, as a result of the overnight Ukrainian attack.
