Its goal is to save endangered species of animals and plants.
Actor Leonardo DiCaprio, along with billionaire Jeff Bezos's wife Lauren Sanchez, launched a project to help wildlife conservation.
The initiative is called the Phoenix Species Project. The project plans to allocate $200 million to help restore 100 endangered plant and animal species in 30 countries, writes Vanity Fair.
It is reportedly the largest single charitable investment dedicated solely to saving endangered species.
The project will provide ongoing financial support for many years. It will partner with indigenous peoples, local communities, scientists, governments, and over 100 partner organizations.
After launch, the program will track real population growth and threat reduction.
