On the evening of July 18, a tragedy occurred on the Beryozovka river near the village of Troitsa, Shklov district — an 11-year-old boy died, reports the Water Rescue Society.

The report about the incident was received by rescuers around 17:03. Divers from the Water Rescue Society found the child's body approximately four meters from the shore at a depth of five meters. Medics who arrived at the scene pronounced him dead.
According to preliminary information, two children arrived at the dam on bicycles. One of the boys went down to the water, slipped, and fell into the river. The other tried to call for help. His cries were heard by an eyewitness who called the rescuers.
