Viasna human rights defenders have information about more than 60 searches already conducted among graduates, students, and other individuals connected to the European Humanities University, as well as their relatives.

Since the beginning of June, a large-scale persecution related to the European Humanities University has been unfolding across Belarus. Security forces have initiated a criminal case over tuition payments made since 2016.
People are even being visited at work, and some are called and asked to come "for a talk."
