The main features of the new machine include a gas-piston engine, specially developed to run on more environmentally friendly fuel, as well as a new generation cabin with an increased level of comfort, ergonomics, and safety for the operator.
The dump truck is equipped with a 2335 horsepower engine, which works in conjunction with an electric drive and a modern electronic control system.
The company notes that the use of liquefied natural gas significantly reduces fuel costs compared to diesel. In addition, the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere is reduced.
BelAZ management believes that in the future, about a third of the mining machines produced by the company could receive gas-piston engines. Plans include testing equipment of various load capacities, including 90, 130, and 220 tons.
