British actor Anthony Head, best known for his roles in the series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Ted Lasso", has died at the age of 72. His daughters Emily and Daisy announced the actor's death. According to them, Head passed away peacefully surrounded by his family due to complications from pneumonia.

Anthony Head gained widespread recognition for his role as Rupert Giles in the series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". His character was the mentor and guardian of the main protagonist Buffy Summers. The actor appeared in all seven seasons of the project alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar.
In the popular series "Ted Lasso", Head played Rupert Mannion — the former owner of the football club "Richmond", who transferred control of the team to his ex-wife after their divorce.
Among the actor's other notable works are the role of the Prime Minister in the comedy series "Little Britain" and King Uther Pendragon in the fantasy series "Merlin".
In their statement, the actor's daughters noted that they were proud to be Anthony Head's children and to have had the opportunity to see how his talent and work impacted people. They emphasized that Anthony Head dearly loved his profession and always considered it a great opportunity to work with talented colleagues throughout a career spanning several decades.
