Strike on Zaporizhzhia: Houses, a Shopping Center, and the University's Oldest Building Burned
On the night of September 21, Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia with strike drones. Explosions rattled the city, with hits and casualties reported, writes BBC — Ukraine.

According to the State Emergency Service, two residential nine-story buildings were damaged in the attack. Fires broke out in them.
A shopping center also caught fire. Rescuers and other emergency services are working at the impact sites, eliminating the consequences of the shelling.
Five people were injured in the attack. Initially, one injured person was known, but later the number of casualties increased.
Four people sustained injuries as a result of a hit on one of the multi-story buildings, and another person was injured in a different house.
Among the injured are three men and two women.
Historic University Building Damaged
Separately, a Russian strike damaged one of the buildings of Zaporizhzhia National University. A large-scale fire broke out there after the hit.
According to local sources, this refers to the third academic building of ZNU in the Oleksandrivskyi district. This is a historic building, erected in 1902, which previously housed a women's gymnasium.

Overnight, explosions also rattled Kyiv and the region amidst the threat of strike drone attacks. In Boyarka, a large-scale fire broke out in warehouses.
Russian troops also attacked Sumy.
According to Oleg Hryhorov, head of the regional military administration, two enemy drones struck near a multi-apartment residential building.
The house and five cars were damaged.

A 38-year-old woman died. Her 41-year-old husband was hospitalized with numerous shrapnel wounds.
Later, Russian forces struck the territory of one of the universities in the Zarichny district of Sumy with guided aerial bombs. The building suffered significant damage. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties.
