Three people who helped illegal migrants will be tried in Svislach district

The Svislach district prosecutor's office has sent a criminal case to court against three individuals accused of fraud committed by a group of persons, unauthorized assumption of official power, and organization of illegal migration.
One of the accused transported migrants by car to a pre-arranged location in Svislach district. There, they were met by a second accomplice, disguised in the uniform of a border service military officer, writes BelTA.
Under the pretext of conducting a personal search, the fake border guard demanded that the foreign citizens exit the vehicle, transfer their belongings and savings into the conspirator's car. Having seized money and property from the migrants worth 1500 rubles, the conspirators drove away.
In addition, in June 2025, one of the accused, together with his 24-year-old acquaintance, assisted five foreign citizens in an attempt to illegally cross the border. They received 350 dollars for transporting the foreigners from Maladzyechna to Svislach district. To facilitate the migrants' passage through fences, the accused purchased and handed them a shovel and two bolt cutters.
Despite the assistance provided, the illegal migrants were detained by border service officers while attempting to cross the border. Law enforcement officials established the involvement of the organizers in the commission of the crime.
