Ukrainian drones hit two Russian fighter jets at an airfield in Adygea
The Russian "Khanskaya" airfield was subjected to a pinpoint drone attack from a distance of half a thousand kilometers. The operation resulted in the defeat of modern combat aircraft used for dropping guided aerial bombs on Ukrainian cities and the front line.

On the night of October 4, fighters of the "Alpha" Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine attacked the "Khanskaya" military airfield in the Russian Republic of Adygea. As reported by the Ukrainian publication "Oboronka", during the operation, Ukrainian attack drones successfully covered about 500 kilometers to the target and hit two aircraft: a multi-role fighter Su-35 and a fighter-bomber Su-34.
Representatives of the Ukrainian special services note that both aircraft are carriers of guided aerial bombs (KAB), which the Russian army systematically uses in combat operations. The Su-35 is considered one of the most modern combat aircraft in the Russian air fleet, its export cost is about 100 million dollars. The cost of the Su-34, which the Ukrainian agency calls a key aircraft of Russian tactical aviation, is estimated at approximately 50 million dollars.
Successful strikes by Ukrainian drones on remote Russian airbases are not recorded for the first time. In late August 2026, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit a Russian strategic bomber-missile carrier Tu-95MS at an airfield in Engels. The Ukrainian General Staff also confirmed the defeat of a Russian front-line bomber Su-34 at the Akhtubinsk airfield, which is approximately 650 kilometers from the line of combat engagement.
